City of Lake Station Police Deartment Records - Hours of Operation

The available hours to process or request any administrative record services within the Lake Station Police Department will be from Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Closed Saturday and Sunday.

Requests for Handgun Permits will ONLY be available on Tuesday through Wednesday 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Services within dispatch division will no longer be accepted, excluding bond payments.  Any questions or concerns can be directed to the Lake Station Police Department at 962-1186 or email: cguillen@lakestation-in.gov.

Part-Time Dispatch

Non-Sworn position within the Lake Station Police Department.  Applicants must be superior in communicational skills including communicating with the public in person and telephone as well as dispatching emergency personnel (police/fire/ambulance) via radio.  Applicants must be able to multitask and remain calm in high stress situations.  Applicants must be able to pass a thorough background investigation.

Reserve Police Officers

The Lake Station Police Department is seeking qualified candidates for its Reserve Officer Program.  As a sworn reserve officer, you will perform all the duties and responsibilities of a career police officer on a volunteer, part-time basis.  Applicants must be able to pass a thorough background investigation.
